Philodendron Majestic is part of the Philodendron genus of plants that belongs to the Araceae family. The Philodendron genus itself makes up the second largest part of the Araceae family numbering around 500 unique plants.

The name of this genus is derived from Greek to mean: Philo- “love” and dendron- “tree”. Large chunk of the plants that make up the Philodendron genus are generally used as decorative or indoor plants—Philodendron Majestic perfectly fitting that category.

This plant is the result of a spectacular blend of Philodendron sodiroi and Philodendron verrucosum. This combination has allowed Philodendron Majestic to obtain the desirable traits from both of the parent plants.

As a result, it possesses a beautiful large leaf with an oval heart-like shape together with amazing texture. The leaves themselves have a very distinct and unforgettable red to purple colored back side. The front is characterized by a fresh green color together with silver patches scattered around.
